The only reason I gave one star is because I cannot give ZERO! I contacted Dori's Music Studio several weeks ago looking for a place for my autistic son to take piano lessons. After speaking to the lady who answered the phone I was assured they had an instructor who was specifically trained to work with kids like my son. We showed up for his third lesson but the instructor, SHAWN, did not.
Anyone who knows anything about autism knows these kids do not do well if their schedule is unexpectedly changed so showing up, waiting a half an hour only to be told no lesson did not go over well with my son. And if that wasn't bad enough they didn't even TRY to get another instructor to help him! I was told they were already booked, they didn't even ask the instructors if they would squeeze him in even for a few minutes!
I spoke to the owner on the phone and she was very polite and very politely told me I shouldn't be upset with her studio, even though it was her employee who had left my son waiting for over an hour by this point. Once I handed the phone back to the guy behind the desk he left the room without a word to us and my son proceeded to have a melt down.not because he is spoiled, but because he is autistic! Needless to say we had to leave and will not be going back!
