Thomas Appell is a fantastic vocal teacher. He has a very unique approach which covers many areas. Technique covers going from falsetto to full voice and singing in pitch. Thomas has a great system that is really well planned and covers many areas of your voice.

I've always enjoyed singing as a hobby, but had no technical training whatsoever. After taking Thomas' fundamental series, I extended the range of my full voice significantly, developed vibrato and refined my tone in just 12 hour-long sessions. From there, we produced a studio-quality cover which I absolutely love. Thomas' teaching style is unique, but most importantly, extremely effective. Highly recommend!

Thomas is wonderful! I was a little skeptical about jumping into his structured 12 Hour Fundamental Series Lessons as I've had vocal coaching since childhood, but his ability to explain HOW to sing meant he taught me how to use vocal muscles without strain. I added four notes to my full voice range, developed a new approach to vibrato and pitch, and learned how to change my tone and best pronounce specific sounds all within our first lesson. I'm excited to continue my lessons with Thomas and definitely recommend him.

We have know Thomas Appell for over 11 years, he has taught both of our children to sing. He is a fantastic singing teacher. You will find your own amazing singing voice when you train with Tom. Both of our children are now writing and performing their own music. Our son continues to train with Tom, finding even more perfection in his vocal technique. I've been taking lessons from Thomas for the last 6 months, and have found his method to be challenging and yet fun. I've extended my vocal range quite a bit, and have learned a lot about how one's voice improves through his lessons. I've recently gone back and tried singing some songs I could never do before, and am having a much easier time with them! He gives honest feedback, but is always very encouraging and is incredibly knowledgable about music and singing. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

I have been working with Thomas for several years now both as a singer and a lyricist and the experience has been fantastic. Prior to working with Thomas, I was singing in a classical manner and had no clue how to modify my voice to sing contemporary pop music. I have always been impressed with his boundless enthusiasm and constant encouragement while I have mastered these vocal techniques.

I got more out of my first lesson with Thomas than I did in two years of voice lessons with my previous teacher. I came into that first lesson thinking that if, after a year or so, if I could sing an A note above middle C, then I'd be very happy. In less than an hour, Thomas showed me how to sing even higher than that! What I've been able to do since then are things I never would have thought possible.

I live far from Thomas, but I happily drive 2-3 hours to get to my lessons with him, because I doubt there's anyone out there who can do what he does. He has a talent for diagnosing exactly what you need to do to get to the next level. I come away from every lesson a noticeably better singer. As a professional musician and composer, I can say without a doubt that Thomas' method just plain works.

Thomas has done absolute wonders. Before training with Thomas, I had singers nodules due to the fact that I sang high notes incorrectly. I strained my voice and nearly damaged it forever. Because of Thomas, I have learned to easily and comfortably sing notes higher than I have ever been able to sing before! What he has done for me is truly an amazing thing and I am so happy that he has been able to train me to do this. At this point, I don't know how I would sound without him!

Before seeing Thomas, I had little control over my voice, intonation, tone, and technique were all over the place, and forget high notes! With Thomas's help, now I can sing in tune, with great tone, and well over a Tenor High C! As a professional musician, I also appreciate the musicianship skills Thomas instills in his students with ear training, (intervals, scales from major to whole tone, etc.) and keeping a steady beat etc. Definitely recommend Thomas's vocal lessons!
