The Encinitas School of Music, ESoM, is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our staff of music instructors is among the most experienced and finest you will find in North County. We accommodate people of all ages beginning at five years young to eighty five years young. Here you will find instructors who design a curriculum tailored to each student's needs and desires to provide the most positive experience possible. Each studio is fully equipped to use today's technology. There is, however, nothing that can replace the one on one interaction with a professional musician.

The Encinitas School of Music, ESoM, is a 501c3 non-profit organization established in October of 2002. We began with a couple instructors working from a house which has grown into a facility with 5 studios and a full size rehearsal space/recording studio. As we grew some of the best music performers and instructors came to us asking to be a part of our program.

My daughter has been playing guitar for 8 years and has taken lessons for 7 of those years. She has had several guitar teachers in the past but Steve is by far the best around! He makes the lessons challenging but they are invaluable. She has learned so much and she is now playing in her own band. Thanks, Steve, for all you've done for Ella!

We are big fans of ESoM! All three of my kids have taken lessons there with Ben and my oldest has been going for several years. Ben is AMAZING and so good with children, he makes it fun and let's them work on the songs they want to learn how to play. He is very easy to schedule with which is so important for me since I have a hectic schedule. My teenager is in the rock band which has had several performances and it has been a great experience for her. I highly recommend the Encinitas School of Music, especially Ben!

Our son had a great teacher, but like the other reviewer, we found the owner to be rude and disrespectful. He was completely unprofessional, constantly reinterpreting his own rules and when we gave them 30 days notice that we would be suspending lessons for summer travel (per the agreement), had a fit and said we'd have to pay more when we returned. We wouldn't return if he paid us.

Teachers are excellent. But the owner lost his temper and became sarcastic when we were attempting to schedule lessons around other activities. He left an unbelievably unprofessional voicemail for my wife after we indicated that it was too difficult to continue with scheduling (due to our kids being busy). We reliably paid for lessons each month, so from business perspective none of it made sense.

The owner and head guitarist Steve Rollins built a foundation of musical knowledge for me at a young age that has continued to expand onto a plethora of other instruments and music is a huge part of my life now. I teach others what I learned from ESoM. They are great people to work with and I have known them 10 years now. They boast a professional recording studio at the school and other cool little tricks too. Daniel Leonhard
