San Diego Music Studio started in 1994 as a small in-home business in downtown San Diego. Today, San Diego Music Studio is a robust music retail operation with sheet music, instruments, and a pro instrument repair facility. The store is known for its advocacy, community-based programs, and extensive lesson program, which has taught thousands of music makers in San Diego.

Services
San Diego Harmonica Club is a community of people of all ages and skill levels who love the harmonica! Our monthly club meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Our mission is to bring harmonica players together for skill development, friendship, and FUN - jamming with each other and eventually guitar players and other instruments.
David Montoya has been involved in the music community for the past 6 years. He specializes in teaching flute, clarinet, and saxophone to students of all ages. He has coached for various different schools including: Mission Hills High, La Costa Meadows Elementary, Aviara Oaks Middle, and Pacific Ridge School.
San Diego Music Studio offers Group Classes! All classes are limited to no more than 6 students per class, and students move at their own pace. Our expert, qualified, music degreed teachers take pride in teaching you or your child the basics and essentials of music and strive to make our classes educational, fun, and unique!

This store CARES!.about you.about your kid.about their school's music program. And they will do everything they can to make your experience the best that they can provide! Years of piano lessons, over a decade of supporting our school district's bands and orchestras, and a team of employees who are knowledgeable and friendly makes this little shop the absolute BEST in all of North County (or, dare I say, the county!). LOVE THEM!

The people at the San Diego Music Studio are the best! Helpful, smart, and knowledgeable. I always enjoy working with them. Also, I have purchased three high-end ukuleles from them and am a happy customer. San Diego Music Studio is a certified dealer for both Kala and Kanile'a ukuleles (Kanile'a makes some of the finest ukuleles in the world). They helped me design the ukuleles I wanted, at a fair price. Thanks you, everyone at San Diego Music Studio!

I attended a super-fun ukulele jam on Saturday afternoon. Friendly, welcoming group of players, great song selection. Just the upbeat vibe I needed after staying home alone for a year. I have been working with SD Music Studio for several years now. From the first time I walked in to rent a clarinet for 6th grade band for my daughter, to band lessons and workshops, clarinet purchase, Alto sax rental, instrument repairs, to lots of questions about anything and everything music related, EVERYONE has been amazing! Shout-outs to Jessica and David for their wonderful teaching styles and personal attention. Incredible people, superb customer service and a great music studio. Get your instrument here, you won't be sorry!

This is a one stop shop for all your musical instrument needs. It has separate rooms for music lessons. Oh, and the teachers are wonderful and patient. They have a great selection of band instrumental rentals. Very reasonably priced! And they have anything and everything under the sun. They also do instrument repairs too. We bought our clarinet in and the work they did was superb!

Update 9/28 - Ryan called to apologize and made things right. In light of that I have upgraded the rating to 4 stars. Often times it's not the mistake, but the reaction and I think Ryan did a good job resolving the issue. The customer service for the rental is horrible. Bliss was terribly rude. I had an auto debit for a rental and I had that for a couple of years.
The bank issued me a new card and it had lapsed. That happened in the past and they would call. This last time I got a new call saying it was two months past, but I never got a call for the first month, or an email, and she couldn't do anything to waive the late fees, which were $15 for a $19 a month rental (79% of the rental cost). All because they couldn't call or send and email. Sounds like their business model is to just make their money on the late fees rather than be reasonable.
