I brought my bass in to fix the input because it's was no longer working. Bill recognized how horrible my action was on my instrument and immediately sold me with the words" This will be way more fun to play when it's finished!" I had went to another big chain place in the past and they said my neck was bent beyond fixing my playing action.

Well Bill was right! My bass has never been so fun to play. And get this! I haven't even plugged it up! Thank you so much Mr. Bill, and like I told you, I'm gonna bring my Dad in to purchase one of your signature guitars. Even if I have to pay him back for it. He deserves such a precious gift from me, as he's given me so much in my lifetime. See you in March Sir. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! You're the best!

The store is an absolute mess. This is the most unorganized place I have ever seen in my life. Had my guitar set up and wanted the action lowered. It was higher when I got it back. Had a pickup put in my acoustic, was not I stalled properly and the wiring was left loose inside the body of the guitar. Would not recommend.

I have taken more than one instrument to Bill over the years. (electric guitars and basses) I have neer taken an acoustic instrument to him so I can't review his work on those. Yes, the area of town and the building is a little questionable, but in all my years I haven't heard of any issues there. Bill is a great guy, hoinest, and very very good at what he does.

The workmanship is fantastic. He is quick to turn your axe around and you can likely make special arrangements with him to get it even quicker in a pinch. He is also the least expensive game in town. I've never been disappointed on his work.

Words can not describe the level of craftsmanship Bill puts into his instruments. I have never played a bass nor a guitar that has astounded me the way a Bill Foley Fine Instruments does. He has figured out the physics behind a crazy special resonating chamber so when you hit a note it rings forever. If you are serious about getting a custom setup, then you need to go see Bill.

I am in line to get my custom jagbass right before Keith Richards and right after Santana. YES THAT IS FOR REAL. HE IS BUILDING GUITARS FOR KEITH RICHARDS AND SANTANA. If you want a nice guitar or bass, go see Bill. Without question. He can even fix up your old ones for you if you want and they'll play great!

I was more than a little apprehensive when I took my baby (a Martin acoustic guitar) in to German Village Music Haus for some run-of-the-mill repairs. The music shop is located at an otherwise deserted corner of town that hardly qualifies as German Village. Once inside, the place was cramped at best. As with many music stores, it was difficult to discern who was an employee and who was a "customer" who was hanging out in the shop.

The instrument selection seemed impressive until an investigation of specifics was made. The stock consisted almost entirely of second and third-tier instrument brands. Nary a Fender or Gibson could be found, let alone a Martin, the very instrument I was bringing in for repairs. The repairs, set-up and jack repair, were done in about a week and at the reasonable price of $120. Sadly, some of my fears were founded.

The set-up was decent enough (though I still have some intonation problems), and the jacked was sturdily fixed. However, some of their tools left marks and indentations on my guitar's body. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I can only assume that acoustic instruments are not their specialty. Next time I will likely shell out a bit more money at another repair shop.
