Foundation Music School is a non-profit community school of the arts committed to providing high quality opportunities in the arts to interested individuals of all ages, abilities and incomes. Established in 2006, Foundation Music School reaches approximately 600 students in-house each week and of those students nearly 20% receive full or partial scholarships.

Preschool Music Report

Our Preschool Music classes use music, movement, various instruments, and music language to fully prepare your child for success as a young musician. After completing our Preschool Music classes your child will be musically prepped to begin lessons on their instrument of choice.

Music Therapy Report

Music Therapy uses music and music experiences in a therapeutic way to enhance and help maintain physical, cognitive, psychological, and social well being. Music Therapy is the use of music as the motivating tool to help children, teens, and adults work toward non-musical, therapeutic goals and objectives.

Private Instrument Lessons Report

FMS offers private lessons in piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, drums, and voice, to name just a few. All of our instructors are highly-trained, professional musicians who are dedicated to helping your child grown as a musician. Every teacher at FMS is a professional musician and can play multiple instruments!

My two children have attended family music and various music makers classes at Foundation Music School for nearly 3 years. Music class is consistently the highlight of each week. The teachers are not just talented musicians but are some of the best educators we have encountered. This school is one of the best things about Fort Collins.

Foundation Music School is fantastic! The lessons for my 19 month old grandson are perfectly planned and age appropriate. His teacher Nicole has the ideal balance of activities to keep little children involved. As a retired teacher of young children, I couldn't be happier!
