I've been involved with music and singing all of my life, and teaching voice professionally since 2003. I am trained in Somatic Voicework, and have taught hundreds of Houston-area singers using this method with lots of success. My singing lessons focus on contemporary music styles including Rock, Pop, Gospel, R&B, Country, and Jazz. Whether you are a complete beginning singer who has never taken voice lessons, you have past singing experience and want to jump back into music, or you're recording your demo or album and want to work out any challenges, I will be happy to be your vocal coach along the way.

Simply put, Winnie is awesome vocal coach. She is highly empathetic and extremely well versed in her craft. She met me where I was and we progressed from there. I have made a great deal of progress under her mentorship and I would recommend her to anyone from begginer to professional who wants to improve themsleves as a musician

Winnie Fristoe is a wonderfully intuitive, highly intelligent vocal coach. I came to Winnie after a painful divorce. I had lost my ability to shine and sing confidently. Her combined knowledge of the body mechanics involved in singing and her innate gift of relating to people in an empathetic way makes Winnie a rare find. Mrs. Winnie gave me some good advice and all. But I wanted someone to get with me personally and work with me. I understand she works with people who are singers but, I think even singers need vocal training just like voice actors. There's a difference between the two, I'm sure. However, I believe there are some similarities also and I only wanted her to see me and see if there was anything she could do to help.
She didn't want to do that and that's okay, we live in a crazy world when anything could happen to anyone. I'm a stranger online asking for help, when I could be anybody up to anything. For that reason alone I don't hold anything against her but, there should be a middle ground. Where two people can meet and talk about whatever the subject is. I'm not even sure if this is the right thing for me, really.
I already have low self-esteem and I'm trying to find something about myself to know that I'm not worthless. That I do possess a talent, a skill and I am somebody who can bring some kind of joy or entertainment for someone out there. I guess I have a voice, I don't know, really. But if I do, I want to use it for something good and through it all, I discover that perhaps this is why I'm here and maybe this is my purpose in life.
