What a great place! The owner was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We got there early enough to be the only customers there and got a tour of the repair side of things, as well as some historical pianos and their predecessors. Couldn't recommend more highly!

After looking around and talking to a few experts in the field - we knew that Farley's is respected and has a great reputation. So we went in to look at digital and used acoustic pianos. Steve was great to work with and went above and beyond to find the right piano for our family. We now have a beautiful acoustic piano in our home that we all love. Thank you Steve and Farley's!

Farleys moved my "new to me" baby grand from Madison to Milwaukee, Tad was friendly, professional and great to work with for scheduling the move. Impressive how smoothly they handled every step of the move. Highly recommend.

I regularly play three pianos which have been restored and maintained by Farley's House of Pianos (including my own instrument) and the quality of their work is first class. You simply cannot find anyone better in the industry. Their sales and service staff is always kind and courteous and they know their craft. Highly, highly recommended.

Great staff, amazing knowledge, feel very welcome compared to other places (like the other piano shop that closed by the mall). If i every buy another piano for any reason, or have to refer anyone looking for a piano, this is THE place! Steve was fantastic.

I can't say enough nice things about this company. I inherited my grandmother's piano but couldn't move it right away. Tad at Farley's stored this 100 year old piano beautifully. When it came time for me to have the piano delivered to my new house, Tad and another helper moved it so carefully and with such care. I was moved to tears at how they handled this precious heirloom. They are a class act for sure.

I've had them out twice to tune my husband's upright piano, and both times the technicians were friendly, courteous, and taught me about this instrument that I know very little about. It was a treat to have them in my home and learn something in the meantime! When it's time to upgrade our piano I won't bother looking anywhere else. It's Farley's for me!

I was contacted by Farley's regarding the sale of my Mothers piano I had listed online. They tried to strong-arm the sale and would have showed up at her house with a team of people to bully her into a lower price if I hadn't intervened. I even went there to speak with them about my experience and they treated me very poorly in person! I was polite about it too. These people are just short of criminal. Avoid them at all costs.

Tim and Renee Farley are upstanding members of the Madison music community and far exceed expectations when delivering on their product, be it sales, rebuilding, maintenance, or moving of pianos. Steve is wonderful to work with, and can answer any question you have regarding a piano, an accessory item, or anything music related. The combined knowledge and talents of the entire staff make for a worthwhile visit when considering investing in a piano.

Steve is first rate in his knowledge of pianos and ability to articulate the differences. Without feeling like we were getting sold to, we got an incredible education on the history of pianos and the differences between the different brand houses. It was an absolute joy to spend time here. Furthermore, the restoration services offers are incredible. What an amazing workshop with people who truly take this craft to a new level. Would absolutely recommend a visit and a chat with Steve.

I'm a piano technician not affiliated with Farleys House of Pianos, but I was recently asked to inspect and appraise a classic American piano from the 1920's which Tim Farley and his team restored about 8 or 9 years ago. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the project --all new soundboard, bridges, action (including key-set). The workmanship was at the highest standard, obviously performed by craftsman who are dedicated to their work. A tip of the hat for a job well done!

Uneventful move of our Schimmel grand from Illinois to Wisconsin. Everything went smoothly and on-time. I had improvised new caster cups since we were moving from carpeting to hardwood and, thankfully, they had some nice caster cups on the truck which I was able to purchase. Would certainly recommend and use again myself.

Hired them to tune my piano, tuner did a poor job, owner was unprofessional when I expressed displeasure. Call Billings instead!

Very knowledgeable, experienced staff, if not a tad on the snooty side. Got a great deal on a custom mini-grand piano by Walters a few years ago (yes, I bargained) and have been very happy with it ever since. Be sure to get your piano tuned every year in case you ever want to trade it in for cash. Financing available, as are used pianos, lessons, special events, and more. A Madison institution!
