The Music School of Westchester (MSW) offers professional instruction to children and adults in all instruments as well as theory, composition, voice and acting. Since its creation in 1983, the MSW has become one of the finest music institutions in Westchester and has taught thousands of students from both the local community and more than 50 other countries. The Music School of Westchester is organizing group summer lessons for guitar, drum, and piano. You can choose private, virtual or live lessons and have a flexible schedule.

Whether your little one is simply curious about learning to play an instrument (piano, guitar or percussions), or has serious rock-band dreams, the MSW offers a supportive summer program split into two-week sessions. Programs are divided by skill level and age. Kids create original rock and pop music, learn to play favorite songs, and work on songwriting, musical collaboration, and arranging.
The Program focuses on coordination, logic and creativity development of young children. The class uses music as a tool to build strong, expressive and well grounded human beings. Children are given opportunities to sing, dance, play games and read together. This dynamic music readiness program emphasizes ear training, rhythms, finger exercises, active movement games and keyboard exploration.
A dedicated and accomplished faculty offers private instrumental and vocal classes. Careful consideration is given to matching students with appropriate instruments and teachers. All students are encouraged to take Music Theory, which accelerates and complements instrumental and vocal instruction. Frequent performance opportunities are proposed throughout the school year to soloists and members of chamber music ensembles.
