Hoff-Barthelson Music School's mission is to inspire and develop each student's potential through excellence in music education with a commitment to creativity, collaboration, and community. Virginia Hoff and Joyce Barthelson believed that the joy of music and the skills to perform it should be available to everyone.
Enrollment for most early childhood classes is ongoing throughout the year, and tuition is pro-rated based upon time of enrollment. At Hoff-Barthelson, our teachers build on these early inclinations, guiding the development of music-making skills while instilling a deep enjoyment of music. Dalcroze Eurhythmics, a renowned teaching method that pairs music and movement is the basis for our music classes for babies and toddlers.
Renowned for our comprehensive, sequential curriculum, Hoff-Barthelson is committed to providing high quality music education to all, from absolute beginners to advanced high schoolers preparing for careers in music. While the majority of our K-12 students ultimately go on to study science, law, medicine, finance, engineering or other disciplines, our goals are to provide opportunities for them to fully experience the joy of making music and to benefit from what they learn and the friendships that they form here.
Through Hoff-Barthelson's K-12 Division, students ages 4 through 18 benefit from our comprehensive program curriculum and individualized instruction taught by distinguished faculty. Our program is unique in that we focus on the whole person, accelerating musical growth and the development of life skills that enable students to realize their full creative potential.
