LMA is proud to offer virtual and in person lessons during this pandemic. We need music now more than ever. Parents agree that virtual music lessons have helped keep their kids happy, sane and engaged in the arts. Sign up now to try a virtual or in person lesson or class. LMA has created a comprehensive safety and social distancing plan for all in person lessons. Summer is a great time to try a new instrument, join a Rock Band, try our Song Writing Workshop, and keep up the progress you have made throughout the semester.

Now celebrating our 23rd Anniversary! Claudia grew up in Larchmont and returned after college to teach private flute lessons in the area. By November the Academy opened, and the school began to grow. From its beginnings with 30 students, the Academy has flourished and now nearly 800 students attend classes, lessons, and ensembles.
We give our students access to the wide world of music - from private music lessons to ensemble playing, Mozart to Metallica, there is a program here for any child or adult who is interested in music. We even have classes for very young children in our Music For Little Ones and a Summer Camp for ages 4 to 5.
These recitals offer students the opportunity to perform in a formal, yet non-threatening setting for their family and friends. They are held at the end of each semester at the New Rochelle Library Ossie Davis Auditorium and at the Academy. Each venue offers a unique atmosphere that supports the student's growth and development.
The registration fee for lessons and classes includes performance classes, recitals, and outreach concerts. Cancellations and Make-up Lessons: Two private lessons per semester will be made-up. All cancellations must be made 24-hours in advance in order to be made-up. If a cancellation is made without 24-hour notice no make-up will be given.

Everyone from office staff to teachers are caring and professional at the LMA! My children have had the pleasure of working with Campbell (drums) and Kayla (singing/piano). While they work very hard to pass along their musical knowledge and skills, they also genuinely care about my children and it shows. LMA is a special place and we are proud to be a part of it!

My two sons studied at LMA. My oldest just graduated HS and was a two time all state clarinetist after studying for 8 years under Kristen Engrebretson. My younger son has studied and continues to study saxophone under accomplished jazz saxophonist ALEX Lo Roe. Both sons have/are studying under Steve Huter for piano and AP music theory. LMA has great teachers, direction, and staff.
They really care about the full development of their students, both musically and as people. Highly recommend. Has been a major part of our family's life and my sons' musical experience.

Larchmont Music Academy is far and away the best music academy this side of the Mason Dixon Line. Not only are the teachers all extremely gifted instructors, but they are also incredibly talented musicians in their own right, having toured internationally and institutions as fine as Carnegie Hall. This school also goes out of its way to give back to the less fortunate, providing scholarships to students in need. If I were a Westchester parent I would not hesitate to choose Larchmont Music Academy as my child's music school!

I have loved my time at LMA. I got the opportunity to take AP Music Theory and piano lessons with Steve, and have grown so much as a musician since. I have been able to try so many new pieces and learn new topics that have made me a stronger piano player. I have had an amazing experience and cannot recommend LMA enough!

I grew up in this place. I took solo lessons but also enjoyed various chamber groups and larger ensembles over the years. Would recommend to any parent of a young musician or an adult who wants to try something new. I am not a professional musician, but continue to play on my own and reap the benefits of my music education in all areas of my life - teamwork, public presence/speaking, etc.

I've taken lessons and rented many instruments from LMA and I have not once been disappointed. Everyone is very friendly and eager to help. Steve prepared me for the AP music theory exam and I got a 5/5! Steve is a really great teacher and I definitely recommend studying with him. Thanks for supporting my musical needs, LMA!
