Our students study select works from the standard classic guitar repertoire and highly regarded books dealing with technical issues.
Our Piano Program follows a syllabus designed to prepare students for participation in the Royal Conservatory Music Certificate Program. This Program offers a comprehensive music education that combines tools for high-quality instruction with opportunities for personal development. Candidates graduating from each grade level gain nationwide recognition and lifelong skills.
Our strings program currently provides instruction on Violin. There is a curriculum for young children, ages 3 through 10 and a more traditional curriculum for older students. Young beginners, ages 3 through 10, normally start in the Suzuki Method. Experience shows that this is a highly successful method with young students.
Registration begins with a free consultation. You will meet online with a teacher in your area of interest who will discuss your musical goals, our lesson programs and evaluate your current level of musicianship. My child has been attending WAM for over a year now. We moved here last here and my child was previously receiving piano lessons from a Royal Academy of Music trained teacher since age 4 (she's 13 now). I feel like WAM's standard of teaching piano to my child has been excellent. WAM follows a curriculum based on The Royal Conservatory of Music, which allows my child to sit for an assessment.
As a parent, I believe that having this assessment is very important to learn about her progress. Due to work schedules, my husband and I are not able to take her to the school for her weekly lessons. However, WAM was able to provide alternative teaching through online sessions. My child will never miss any classes at all! All the staffs including the owner, Rick, has always been accommodating and are knowledgeable. Lastly, WAM's tuition fee is reasonable. I wish they offer Saturday lessons, but I understand we all have families to be with. I highly recommend WAM. Give it try!

My three children have taken lessons here for several years. My oldest studies guitar and the other two take piano lessons. The teachers are excellent musicians and very friendly. We feel like part of a community there. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well. I refer everyone who asks me about music lessons to this school.
