An indescribably awesome family-owned small business. A consummate luthier, probably the finest for hours in all directions. We drove an hour and a half to have our Knilling Bucharest serviced and spent half an hour in the shop dreaming of playing the Weibes & Vettoris. The Wyatts have a stunning range of violin family instruments for rent or sale. Entry level student models all the way up to centuries old masterpieces. I can't recommend this place enough.

The Wyatts always take care of my fiddle problems and are such very nice people. They are extremely knowledgeable and honest without any overbearing "selling". Their repairs are well done and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them when wanting to buy a new violin or rent one.

The staff is friendly, patient, and knowledge, not to mention skilled. The store has a peaceful atmosphere, full of beautiful instruments, and is clean and well organized. Absolutely loved this place. I recently went into buy/rent a cello. They were so nice and friendly. They were very helpful in explaining their rental program, how to care for the instrument, and making sure I had everything I needed. They gave me a list of teachers in the area that I could learn from. The shop is beautiful and full of breathtaking instruments.

The pictures do not do it justice. I am no professional, but the prices seemed fair. They even helped me take everything out to my car. I will absolutely be back for all my cello needs.

I have never seen a business to eager to help you. We first met them when renting an instrument from them three years ago and they continue to empress me. Everything from buying rosin to purchasing the whole instrument, they truly want it to be right for you. It is clear that they would rather have you as a long term patron than make a quick buck. It's a shop of musicians excited to help other musicians. Not pushy, not greedy. Just happy to help anyway they can.

Awesome string shop, the staff is extremely knowledgeable with string instruments. They did a great job at explaining what needed to be done to an old family violin then brought it back to life! good prices on great instruments and accessories. the staff is very nice and happy to help.

One of the best and most professional shops in the nation. Not only that but unlike most shops, you can actually trust them. I'm a professional player based out of Nashville and this is one of the few violin shops I'll actually do business with.

I wish I could give them 6 stars. We found Wyatt about 2 years ago while looking for a new violin for my son. We had been KC strings customers for years but decided to take the drive out to Independence. It was well worth it! The selection is excellent and Matt, the owner knows the history and nuances of every instrument in the shop. I would venture to say that he's the most helpful and knowledgeable strings man in KC.

It wasn't just a violin purchase, it was an educational experience. Kristen (Who also works at the shop) is now instructing our daughters. She is just amazing in her patience and pleasant demeanor. Through and through, Wyatt Violin Shop is just a great experience!
