Wonderful company to purchase an instrument from. They also have great customer service.

I was recommended to James at the Murray Summerhays for instrument repair and maintenance. For background, I am a professional French Horn player and have many Horn students in the area. James has bent over backwards over and over for me. I have dealt with him many times in the 3 years I have lived in Utah, and every time he has gone above and beyond what was necessary to fix my horn, or one of my students' horns.

I have never had such good service. He is highly skilled and I have learned much from him. He is the go-to guy for all the pro Horn players in the area and with good reason. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I had some minor damage to a flute. They were able to fix it quickly and did it for a great price. The entire staff there was very polite. I will be going back for all my music needs.

I called and spoke to Dan in the repair shop. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and helped me with the questions I had. The next day I went in and asked for him ( not knowing he wasn't technically in the sales department) yet he helped me regardless. Long and short I purchased a used Flute to start with as I'm starting on one of my " Bucket list " journeys and at 71 wanted to " relearn " the Flute.

I showed him the Flute I bought and he took the time to evaluate it. He even made a slight repair for me on the spot. Every one I had contact here were amazingly polite and helpful. As my new bucket list journey proceeds I will always use them for all tune ups and my new Flute purchase down the road. I highly recommend. To all who assisted, and to Dan in particular. THANK YOU.

Fast, friendly service! They were so amazing to come out to our elementary school to do an instrument "petting zoo" for my band kiddos! It was nice to learn how to get a sound out of a flute for the first time. I'm so glad that they had the conductors book along with other Tratitions of Excellence books for our band in stock last minute for me to pick up!

Summerhays was the company connected to our school's orchestra and band programs. Let me start off by saying, they have fixed every mistake, but I have had to stay on top of them. 1. I had rented with them for 2 years without missing a payment, but changed instruments and so they reran my credit. They wanted me to give them the names and information of a family or friend. (In case I didn't make a payment they would have someone else to contact.) Absolutely not.

I have good credit and good standing with them. 2. They didn't run my automatic payments for months and then charged me late fees. No. I shouldn't be penalized for their mistake. 3. When you have a violin and you change sizes they credit some of your rental money towards the purchase of the full size violin. However, they don't automatically deduct that. So, if you don't pay attention, you will end up paying the full amount of the violin and lose that credit. 4.

I paid off our violin last month and my automatic payment went through again. Again, they have fixed all of these issues and more. But if you choose to rent-to-own through Summerhays be on top of your payments!

Take your band and woodwind instruments here for repairs.these guys knock themselves out to get work finished at the time promised. They are also knowledgeable, friendly and have excellent communication skills! If an instrument is OK and not in need of repair they are honest about that also!

Great selection! The guy helping us was so nice and patient! Let us try about 10 different trumpet and different mouthpieces. So happy we went there!

Chris was great! He took the time on two separate occasions to help us select the right saxophone. The store had the best selection of instruments around. We appreciate this having purchased 5 instruments from them. We also appreciate their rent to own service!

Bruce was quick to help us, get my son set up with band rental, smooth process, great trade up program, easy to set up and we were in and out in about 30 minutes with instrument in hand.

Summerhays has so many instruments for many different levels of musicians. They have great music choices, accessories, and supplies. Their strings section is impressive as is the wind instruments section. The staff is knowledgeable about the instruments and have good advice.

I had a few problems with my instrument, but they only took a few minutes for them to fix it. Most of the fixes were free as well. Friendly employees and great service. Best music store.

Allison was amazing! She went above and beyond, she helped me in choose and pick out a harp for the 8 month rental period. So fun and vivacious! Answered all of my questions, was there for me, and helped out tremendously. Would highly recommend. Also, she deserves a raise. Thank you Allison!

It was a Friday, 10 minutes until closing time, and I was on a mission to get a cello! Estefan was extremely patient, and pulled several cellos for me to try at different price points. He helped me narrow them down one by one and talked about each one's strengths. It was extremely helpful having him play the final two so I could pick the one that suited me.

He went above and beyond and swapped out the tail piece for me, gave me a discount, and he stayed 45 minutes past closing. I really appreciated his helpfulness and his knowledge of the various cellos he showed. Super customer service and I love my new cello!

I went into the store having no knowledge of what the purchase for my eight-year-old son who is learning music at school. Matthew, the salesman, was extremely informative, not pushy, and within 30 minutes I left with a clarinet for my son as a rent to own instrument.

Lots to look and choose from for any musician, they have something for every musician and I believe they have rentals of most instruments. Lots of music books to chose from and nicely organized. Although I'm an online order shopper most of the time with things like this, I ended up buying from there because their prices are competitive and you can get it right there. I was asked if I needed help several times as I cruised through different areas of the store. The store is very clean, organized and selection is great.

Everyone is very friendly and there are some very talented knowledgeable musicians who work there. Christian is one of the best string luthiers in the valley

My kids have rented instruments here for school bands. Expensive but they are decent about billing. Good variety of instruments and accessories.

They have gone out of their way to help us out. The (I think owner.or she is super awesome with some pull anyway) has made sure we have had a positive experience. If my son chose to change instruments the payments would go to the new instrument. If my daughter chooses to play an instrument when she gets old enough I am sure we will get it here Beautiful store.

We bought my kids a piano here and couldn't be more happy with the service I received in making a good choice, they didn't pressure me into spending a small fortune and the piano we got sounds amazing and will be around longer than me, I'm sure. Great experience.

Summerhays fixed my guitar strings for a reasonable price. As a cello player I love coming here to pick up some rosin!

Awesome music store. The woman who helped me was an accomplished concert pianist, like played in Lincoln center level of accomplished. That was fantastic. We ultimately left with a small electric piano that looks great and I absolutely love. The staff was helpful, knowledgable, and more concentrated on finding me a great instrument rather than selling something. After playing instruments for more than 15 years, I've been to several music stores, and summerhays ranks among the best

Top notch repair facility. Great prices! Knowledgeable and courteous staff. In fact, when I just now went in I had no idea what reeds my kid uses for his Tenor Sax so they looked up my last transaction and we got the info from there. Extremely helpful and capable of preventing mental breakdown for the day! Highly recommend

Came here for classical sheet music as one review states that it has the best selection in town. How disappointing. I have more sheet music at home than in their entire classical section. Wasted trip.

I don't know much about music or music stores, but to my uneducated self Summerhays Music seems like a really nice music store. The store was really well-organized inside and everything was presented well and in good shape. They seem to carry some of everything: guitars and drums, pianos and sheet music, violins and harps, and much, much more. If its related to music chances are Summerhays has it.
