It is my goal, as a voice teacher, to help you develop your voice to its fullest potential. Each vocal lesson begins with a vocal workout that is customized to the student's needs and goals. With the right guidance and daily practice, your voice can be properly aligned and strengthened for a lifetime of great singing!
Our Solana Beach studio has two teaching rooms and a waiting area. Studio A is an intimate space equipped with a small PA system and a piano. Studio B includes a 7'x14' stage with stage lighting, a PA system with stage monitors, and can seat up to 25 guests. Teachers have access to secure wi-fi, a copier and a wireless printer.

I started taking voice from Virginia last year because I wanted to strengthen my mixed voice. Virginia knows how to do it! She takes you quickly from your current level to your much stronger, more controlled voice as you put in the work/practice. I took a few guitar lessons from Joe, as well. Joe is an excellent guitarist and teacher. Unfortunately, I felt like I couldn't keep up with practicing both voice & guitar at the same time, so I decided to stop with the guitar lessons. Both are very kind, communicative, and take you from where you are to where you want to go with precision. They are the dynamic duo!

My husband and I have been taking lessons with Virginia for a while now and are so grateful for her mentorship. Our daughter has been studying at Norwood for many years. She learned vocal and performance technique (and confidence!) from Virginia and then moved to work with Joe on guitar and song composition. Virginia is wonderful. She has worked closely with our daughter and provided tools to help her overcome many challenges that impacted her singing. We have seen a dramatic improvement in our daughter's vocal performance. Not only is Virginia an excellent vocal coach, she is also an exceptional person -- very kind and pleasant to work with.
