We are happy to announce that Music Authority offers school band rental programs for the upcoming academic year and is proud to be your local school band & orchestra headquarters. For a broader selection of instruments and gear, please visit Music Authority's show room located at 123 Merchants Square, Cumming GA 30040.
Music Authority carries many quality lines of musical instruments and accessories. From guitars to pedals to cymbals, we can help meet your combo music needs. Pardon our dust as we do some renovations - and check out photos of select in-stock items! Music Authority is proud to carry brands like Taylor Guitars, Tagima Guitars, Yamaha Guitars, Yamaha Amplifiers, Marshall Amplifiers, Blackstar Amplifiers, CMG Guitars, Ddrums, Pearl Drums and hardware, Pearl Latin Percussion, and more!
Music Authority offers private one-on-one music lessons for a wide range of instruments. Our students also have the opportunity to perform as part of a full band in several concert settings throughout the year. Each department teaches from a uniquely designed curriculum that meets National Standards for Music Education, and all of our instructors have a post-secondary education in their fields.
The Music Authority Lessons Program is built on the truth that music is a language. Being able to play your favorite song on your instrument without the ability to understand the language behind it is like being able to recite a phrase in a foreign language without being able to carry on a conversation.

Andrew has been my bass and guitar instructor for almost one year and a half. One of the many reasons I give Andrew a perfect 5 stars is his ability to teach. His teaching methodology has helped me to become a better guitarist and bassist. He will quickly pick up on the skills you will need to become the musician you want to be. He is very knowledgeable about music theory which has helped me in acquiring more skills. I recommend Andrew as your instructor, he is amazing.

My daughter started guitar and voice lessons last year and we absolutely love Music Authority. Her guitar teacher, Savannah, is amazing. She's teaching her proper technique and is building her skills while still working on the songs our daughter wants to learn how to play. So she loves it! She is even joining their rock ensemble program thanks to Savannah. Love this place!

Morgan at Music Authority has been amazing to work with! As a new drum student, there are so many different things to learn and it can seem overwhelming at first. However, Morgan excels at breaking down the lessons into smaller understandable segments so a new student can begin to better comprehend the patterns and excel at them going forward.

Music Authority's website says they offer services including instrument repairs, however, this is only a half truth. When we took our daughters clarinet here for service/repair, we were told they don't work on band instruments, they only work on guitars. Very frustrated with these guys after this interaction. I am not likely to return to Music Authority for any of my musical needs.

We tried to set up a single trial music lesson for our son. They would not set up lessons unless we provided an email and were quite rude about it to boot. We have too many companies that abuse the privilege of having our email and we end up getting spammed so we do not give out our email easily. But for them to insist that they have it as a condition of providing a service like piano lessons is a big red flag for us.

My kids have greatly enjoyed taking guitar/ukulele lessons at Music Authority for over a year now. George Marlow (my son's instructor) and Lauren Isenberg/Savannah Hughes (my daughter's instructors) have been great teachers. My son says, "George is even forgiving when I didn't really practice that week" (something we need to work on). My daughter started out on Guitar but is now enjoying playing her Ukulele (and so is her family).

My 10 yr old daughter and I take piano lessons at Music Authority. Our instructor, Brooke, along with a lot of practice, has taken us from zero musical experience to reading and playing the piano in a few short months. We enjoy the lessons each week and we learn something at each one. Our instructor is a gifted teacher. She changes up the lesson plans so throughout our lsns, and at home practice, we learn music theory, practice skills exercises, and learn songs.
It pushes us to go further but doesn't overwhelm. If your looking to learn an instrument or two, this is a good place to start. Music camps and performances are offered as well. You can get as involved as you want.
